Assurant

Wells Fargo offers Aussurant protection insurance to its cardholders. Since the day I openeded up a credit card and cash advances with Wells Fargo, I have paid for Assurant extetended protection coverage in casse of sickness and loss of work. This started in 2006. In april 2008, I became very ill. I could not work and as of today, still have been unable to return to the work force. I contacted Wells Fargo. They gave me the Assurant phone number which only gave me info for the website. I was harrassed by Wells Fargo on a continuous 7 day non-stop cycle. In August Wells Fargo told me I had to file a hardship claim with them and that would lower my interest for 5 months and cut my payments in half. In the meantime, I kept trying to get up with Assurant. Finally, with the collaboration of a wells Fargo rep doing a three-way and waiting patiently with me on the phone for an extended amount of time, an Assurant rep answered the phone. Wells Fargo explained to her my situation and she said Assurant would make their payments to Wells Fargo retroactive from the date of my illness. The Wells Fargo rep told her I indeed had coverage and it has never elasped. To make a long story short, that was 2 1/2 months ago (March,'09'). Assurrant still has not paid the claim and I am constantly being harrassed by Wells Fargo every single day, (weekends included from 7am until 10 pm eastern time) Assurant took money from me on a monthly basis, but refuses to acknowledge my claim. You pay for their services, but they don't deliver!!! They could be the only insurance co. on the face of the earth and i would NEVER UTILIZE THEM!!!.

This was for their Extended Services Contracts with Circuit City. THey not only didn't honor the contract, they never responded when asked for a return of the premium...even the pro-rated amount. It's a scam..

They are a total scam. The agent assured me they would pay for Rx and Dr's visits. They paid nothing. I have to pay thousands of dollars for services I was told they would pay for. They should be put out of business..

I have only had Assurant for 5 months and they have hardly paid for anything. Everytime i call they say " your premuim hasn't been paid for 3 months so we have terminated your policy." Assurant has been getting paid every month on time. So now im stuck with the rest of the bills from the doctors and they aint cheap..

These people have lost my insurance checks, sent checks back that were supposed to be endorsed NOT endorsed, each day i call i get a different story. They suck!!!!.

what a joke! horrible insurance. i could have saved my money and paid for my own expenses..

You have got to be kidding me! All of the reviews on here that gave them all 5 stars are reviews submitted by Assurant! They describe the type of good deal you can get but they aren't REAL REVIEWS! Before you go with Assurant make sure you call around to a few Family Practices or Internal Medicine doctors in your area, call your local hospitals and ask them about Assurant, chances are they don't even accept them. They are notorious for not paying on time, or not even paying at all, if you ask me they are just one big scam, not a cheap alternative. Of course the premiums are so much cheaper, it is because they don't pay anything back to you. Some people have had success but my advice is to call around your area and find out what the doctors and hospitals in your area are saying about Assurant Health first..

It's amazing how the first 3 posts utilize very comparable wording etc. Ask yourself this, would a legit company need trolls to place positive feedback on sites like this? Assurant is an incompetent company when it comes to health insurance. I had them for 6 months and during that time they did not pay one single bill! I chose a higher deductible however I had copays that were not subject to the deductible yet they still did not pay. First I received the old excuse that they had not been billed yet. Then it was a supposed U&C issue (how can it be U&C if I am in-network with copays????). Long story short, you get what you pay for. Sure, their premiums may be competitive but what are your premiums actually giving you? Nothing! Go with a major carrier like BCBS or United. You will be much better served..

If you are not covered by your employer or any other group, there is no time for tension; you can get covered under the best insurance policy available with Assurant. I was looking for an insurance company when I started with my business to protect my employees. It was by accident that I noticed the name of Assurant. Now I feel that I have delivered my responsibility to my employers by choosing the Assurant health insurance plan for them..

When one goes for insurance policy the first thing they ask is the price and Assurant has the reasonable price which you would love. If you need group health insurance or group life insurance or even group dental insurance, Assurant has it all. It is like a one stop shop where you get all different types of insurance policies. My neighbor has a policy and says that he is very happy with Assurant and he was the one who asked me to go for it. Really Assurant is up to the mark and you can definitely go for it..
