I filed for long term disability. They did surveilance on me before even paying any benefits. Of course, the investigator wrote I walked slowly. Anyways, I have filed due to pain issues. DDD of back bulging disc L5 nerve displaced and bilateral hip arthritis and osteoarthritis in hands. Bone spurs everywhere etc etc. I have plently of things wrong. They denied me benefits stated over the phone bascially they are saying you worked years in pain why stop now. Just a way of trying to not pay claims. They told me last week I was denied after being out of work since Aug 2009. I have read so many BAD things about Assurant. I am NOT STATISIFED!!. |

My homeowners insurance was cancelled because I filed 2 claims in 3 years, one for water damage shortly after I bought the home, and the 2nd for a burglary. Neither incident was foreseeable or preventable. What's the point of having insurance if we can't use it? They'll take our money as long as we don't file a claim. I have 2 homes in Arizona. They cancelled the policy on one, so I'm taking my business for both homes somewhere else.. |

After my mother died they were at my door. They sold me a funeral package for myself for 2000$, but it turns out I will paying for 10 years 35.00 per month for a total of 4,200
Double the cost. No way out of it either, they are making it so tough, now I doubt that when I die they will do anything anyway. What a rip off.. |

Many consumers do not read the coverage forms for any policy they buy!!! Assurant Health makes every effort to up front about the coverage provided. I am concerned the the masses think this stuff is free or close to free. "It is NOT" Get a life.. |

DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE. THEY WILL LEAVE OUT DETAILS OF THE CONTRACT UNTIL YOU FILE A CLAIM. THEN GUESS WHAT? THEY PULL SOME OBSCURE LINE IN THE CONTRACT AND NOT GIVE THE COVERAGE YOU THOUGHT YOU HAD.. |

Signed up for short term disability insurance. Faxed them all my information. I waited and waited to receive mail from them confirming and the policy. I never have. But, they have continued to take out the premium of $51.50. i called them and told them to cancel my policy. They claim they sent it to the wrong address which was incorrect. They do nothing but stall and stall. Customer service is very very very rude and dont care either. They said they mailed the policy twice but I never got anything from them. They even said my policy was cancelled and that they would not take out anymore premiums but they did. Currently I am struggling with thier lies to get my money back.. If only they would truly mail I would get it. PLEASE dont deal with these people!! They are a nightmare that I am still having and hopefully one day there will be a class A action lawsuit against them !!! They lie and they never mail anything! BEWARE !!. |
